In 1991, Ben left active service and founded Loyola Enterprises Inc., an engineering service contracting firm. In 1995, Loyola Enterprises Inc. received the Tidewater Regional Small Business of the Year Award. Ben also served as a member of former Senator George Allen?s Small Business Advisory Council. In 2007, Loyola Enterprises Inc. was named to Virginia?s Top Fantastic 50 Companies by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
Loyola Enterprises Inc. has become a leading engineering services and development company providing the US Joint Forces Command, the US Navy, the Fleet Industrial Supply Center, and the US Air Force Air Combat Command with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services and computer network design and administration services.
Loyola Enterprises Inc. has developed unique GIS technology, providing the U.S. Military with key tools used for base planning, aircraft training routes, and operational environmental impact analysis. The Air Combat Command Civil Engineering GIS support staff composed of Loyola Enterprises Inc. employees received an Operational Environmental Excellence award presented by the Pentagon.
