Jobs and the Economy
“As a small business owner I started my business in my spare bedroom and now have 3 offices and over 40 employees, I know what it takes to succeed. My mother and father always told me growing up: ‘Ben, if you work hard, you can be whatever you want to be in this great country.’ I took their advice and got a good education, worked hard, served my country, and started a business to support my family.
Today, government taxation and intrusion is making it harder and harder for the average American to do just that. We lose jobs daily to other countries because our government places an undue burden on both the worker and the business owner. We need to get away from government intrusion and taxation while easing the burden on both the workers and business owners.” –Ben Loyola
Small business is the backbone of American industry. As a small business owner, Ben has experienced both the struggles and the triumphs of running a business. He’s felt the burden of government over-taxation and interference. Ben believes the role of the government in industry should be one that interferes as little as possible.
Our businesses and our workers are over-taxed, over-burdened, and over-regulated. Taxes must be decreased or eliminated, the burden must be lessened, and the red tape must be cut in order for business and our workers to operate freely. Our government must change in order to take a passive role, rather than the active role it currently takes.
When the government takes its hands off of the steering wheel of industry, the free market will succeed, the economy will rebound, and the people will prosper. More jobs will be created and unemployment will decrease. As Senator, Ben Loyola will be a partner with Governor Bob McDonnell in helping turn Virginia’s economy to unparalleled economic growth and expansion.
