Military and National Defense

The defense of a nation and its citizens is the most important responsibility a government has. Our troops possess a sacred trust and they put their lives on the line for us. We must support and respect our military. They must continually have access to proper tools for victory and be given adequate compensation and benefits.
The 2nd Congressional District contains the largest military community in the United States. As a 30-year veteran of the Navy, Ben understands the needs of this community better than anyone. As a small business owner who employs veterans, Ben also understands how to assist veterans in the transition to civilian life.
9/11 changed the way we as Americans view the world. The evil that attacked the Pentagon and brought down the Towers is still out there and we must continually be vigilant. The federal government’s highest responsibility is the protection of its citizens. We must continually equip the various branches of the military with the tools necessary to do just that. 9/11 must never happen again. We must never forget.
