Republican Ben Loyola Receives Congressional Endorsement

January 4, 2010

Republican Ben Loyola received the support and endorsement of a sitting member of the United States Congress in his bid to represent Virginia’s Second Congressional District.

Representative Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-FL) offered his early support of Ben Loyola due to his strong support of small businesses, belief in the strengths of free enterprise, and his admirable life story and background.

“I am proud to support Ben Loyola for Congress. Ben knows the importance of freedom and democracy. His family fled totalitarianism in Cuba for a life of freedom in America. And Ben has served our Nation with distinction in the Armed Forces. I know Ben Loyola will be a key voice as we work to strengthen the free enterprise system to create jobs for the American people.” - Representative Lincoln Diaz-Balart

Loyola, a candidate for Virginia’s Second Congressional district seat held by Democrat Glenn Nye, sees the growing support as another step of momentum in a campaign that continues to gather steam.

“It’s humbling to have the early support of a Republican House member, since they know what it takes to win and to serve effectively” announced Loyola. “We share a great deal about what it means to be American and how far we’ve gone off that track in recent months. The voice of free enterprise can’t be muddled with mixed messages. Our red, white and blue message needs to be bold and clear.”

Ben Loyola continues to gain support, endorsements and momentum even though the nomination will be decided months from now. “I’ve really been encouraged by the excitement in our campaign. The more people I meet, the more excited people are about real change in the Second District.”

Ben Loyola is a candidate for the Republican nomination in Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District. He’s a 25-year resident of Virginia Beach, 30-year Navy combat veteran, successful businessman, and Conservative Republican.
