Ben Loyola Becomes Clear Frontrunner in the 2nd District

October 15, 2009

GOP Frontrunner Ben Loyola Leads 2nd District Republican Field in Cash on Hand and Lands Amongst Top 5 GOP Challengers in Country for the Quarter

Ben Loyola announced his fundraising numbers today, finishing his first quarter of fundraising with $536,513 on hand. This number ranks amongst the top 5 in the entire country amongst Republican challengers for the quarter.

“In order to beat Glenn Nye, you need four things. In the district that boasts the largest military population in the country, you need a veteran with unquestioned credentials. In this economic climate, you need a small business owner who understands how to create jobs. You need a principled Conservative, someone who will abide by the Constitution. Lastly, you need someone with the resources to defeat Glenn Nye. I’m a conservative, 30-year veteran with combat experience and small business owner and am committed to bringing whatever resources necessary to the table in order to communicate my message of low taxes, jobs creation, and a strong military to the 2nd District.” —Ben Loyola

Ben is committed to spending the time and putting together the resources necessary to defeat Glenn Nye and bring change to Washington. Over the last three months, since declaring his candidacy, Loyola has been raising money and speaking with voters, while always maintaining deference to Bob McDonnell.

“It is imperative that Bob McDonnell become the next Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and should be expected that all candidates for 2010 keep that in mind as we traverse the district raising money and speaking with voters.” —Ben Loyola

Ben Loyola is a candidate for the Republican nomination in Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District. He’s a 25-year resident of Virginia Beach, 30-year Navy combat veteran, successful businessman, and Conservative Republican.

Loyola to Host McDonnell Phone Bank

On Tuesday, October 20, 2009 Ben Loyola will be hosting a phone bank for Bob McDonnell at the Victory Headquarters located at 505 S. Independence Blvd., Suite 103 across from Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach.

In the final days of the election it is essential that we turn out every possible Republican vote. We must send a message to the Democrats that Virginia is still solid Republican country. A Republican sweep led by a Bob McDonnell victory for Governor will go along way towards putting the Commonwealth and the nation back on track.

Join Ben on October 20th for food, drink and fellowship as we support the Republican ticket and don’t forget to vote on November 3rd for Bob McDonnell for Governor, Bill Bolling for Lieutenant Governor and Ken Cuccinelli for Attorney General.
