Ben Loyola endorsed by Hampton Roads Tea Party
May 26, 2010
Ben Loyola, Republican candidate to represent Virginia’s Second Congressional District, has been endorsed by the Hampton Roads Tea Party. The endorsement was made during a radio broadcast and subsequent press conference today.
“The endorsement of Ben Loyola comes after lengthy and vigorous investigation and deliberation by the seven-member Tea Party Board, and our decision was unanimous. Our careful, thoughtful process of candidate and campaign analysis speaks well of Mr. Loyola, as there are a number of strong contenders in the GOP race,” said Board Member Norvell S. Rose.
“The campaign begins today,” said Ben Loyola of the primary race that will culminate on June 8th. “The Tea Party has been the center of gravity in American politics, especially in primaries, and this endorsement means we have essentially a two-person race, and a choice between yesterday’s establishment candidates and candidates who will fight for real change in Washington.”
