Vote Tuesday Ben Loyola
Lowering Taxes & Creating Jobs

My father was a Lieutenant in the Cuban Navy, before the rise of Communism. When Castro came out of the mountains promising prosperity for everyone, at the price of freedom, my father saw the evil for what it was and decided to do something about it. My father saw Castro’s true intentions and mutinied against Communism. For his efforts, my father became a marked man death but managed to escape to that ‘shining city on a hill’, the United States of America.

It’s that love of freedom and prosperity made possible by the American Dream that motivated me to run to represent you in Congress.

I’m a 30-year Naval Veteran as well as a graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. I flew missions out of our own Oceana Naval Air Station, with 928 flight hours in 8 different aircraft such as the A-6 Intruder and others, and completed 256 carrier landings in total on the USS Saratoga and USS America.

In 1991, I founded Loyola Enterprises Inc., an engineering service contracting firm. In 1995, Loyola Enterprises Inc. received the Tidewater Regional Small Business of the Year Award. In 2007, Loyola Enterprises Inc. was named to Virginia’s Top Fantastic 50 Companies by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. I know how to create jobs and turn our economy around.

We must get our economy moving again like Ronald Reagan did in 1980. I’ve offered a 6-point plan to revitalize our economy and put people back to work

1. Cut Taxes Across the Board – After an across the board tax cut, we would move to fairer, simpler tax reform which would include eliminating the anti-growth 67,000 page tax code.

2. Control Federal Spending –We should implement an immediate government hiring freeze like Ronald Reagan implemented in the 1980s and a Constitutionally-mandated balanced budget.

3. Eliminate Capital Gains Taxes and Taxes on Savings –We can’t attract jobs while punishing the very investments that create them.

4. Cut the Red Tape and Bureaucracy that Cripples Economic Development - Regulatory burdens are crippling our ability to expand infrastructure and create jobs.

5. Build Two New Carriers – Build two additional carriers to meet all core competencies of the Unified Maritime Strategy, including power projection, forward presence, sea control, maritime security, deterrence and humanitarian assistance/disaster response.

6. More American Energy Solutions –We should explore for American oil and natural gas and invest in nuclear, clean coal, and renewable energy production.

This is the economic strategy we should pursue, not the “cash for clunkers” government-knows-best stimulus plans of Obama and his supporters. We should be the party of lower taxes and free market economic growth.

I believe marriage is between one man and one woman. I believe every life is sacred from conception. I believe in term limits, so that legislators who serve must come home and live under the laws they create for others. I believe in defending our Second Amendment rights, having received an “A” rating from the Virginia Gun Owners Coalition. That’s why I’m honored to be endorsed by the Hampton Roads Tea Party.

That’s why I’d be equally honored to earn your vote on June 8th.
